Do I need a card to start?
No. The free tier never goes through checkout — you only see a payment form if you choose a paid plan.
Can I cancel or change plan later?
Yes, from the billing portal, which also holds your invoices and payment method. Changes take effect through Stripe, not by emailing us.
What happens to my work if I downgrade?
Nothing is deleted. Plan limits apply when you create something new, so an over-limit workspace stays readable, exportable and intact — you just cannot add to it until you are back under the cap.
Are the limits per workspace or per account?
Workspaces are per account; papers and indexed files are per workspace. Team gets 100 workspaces at 10,000 papers each.
Do you offer refunds?
There is no long-term contract, so there is nothing to get out of: cancel whenever you like and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not issue partial-period refunds — the free tier is there so you can decide before paying anything.
Will the free tier stay free?
Yes. It is offered on an ongoing basis rather than as a trial. If we ever change the plans we will give notice, and accounts already on a plan keep the terms they signed up under.
